After School Youth Fitness Trainer

ORGANIZATION: Urban Perform

Urban Perform is looking for fitness enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at multiple after school programs. We are teaching our youth on the Westside of Atlanta how important exercise is and we want you to help Urban Perform implement our P.O.W.E.R UP youth curriculum.

The program runs throughout the fall and spring semesters of the school year, Monday-Friday, from 4p to 6p. The program is geared towards middle school youth ranging from 6 th to 8 th grade both young men and women.

  • B.E.S.T Academy Middle School
  • Crawford Long Middle School
  • Martin Luther King Middle School
  • Sylvan Hills Middle School

Qualifications

Lead Trainer:

  • National fitness certification or BS or BA Degree in fitness, health & physical education, health & wellness, or related field.
  • Experience working with middle school aged youth.
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is a plus.
  • Group exercise or sports training is a plus.

Assistant Trainer:

  • Fitness enthusiast
  • Experience working with youth is a plus
  • Group exercise or sports training is a plus

Requirements:

  • Background Check
  • Orientation or Training
  • Time Committment of 2 hrs/wk
  • Must have transportation to site
  • Must be located in the Atlanta area.
