The Dooley Noted Society is Maymont's young professionals group with a mission to cultivate support for Maymont through volunteer, social and fundraising activities. At the Dooley Noted Society's annual Beer & Wine Classic guests enjoy live music while sampling some of Virginia's finest beverages.
Volunteers are needed to assist with multiple positions and will be helping with tasks such as checking IDs, pouring wine and beer, facilitating games, assisting with the raffle, and cleaning up after the event. Volunteer shifts are generally 6:15-8:45; 8:15-10:45pm.
Volunteers must be 21+ and will be standing for the entirety of their shift. Volunteers will be able to attend the event before or after their shift at a discounted rate.

Description
Maymont was the 100-acre Victorian country estate of Major James H. and Sallie May Dooley. The Dooleys completed their opulent mansion in 1893 and spent the next three decades creating the gardens, landscapes and outbuildings you see here today. Upon Mrs. Dooley's death in 1925, Maymont was bequeathed to the City of Richmond . Attractions for visitors added over the years include the Nature Center, Native Virginia Wildlife Exhibits, Children's Farm and Carriage Collection. Since 1975, Maymont has been maintained and operated by the private non-profit Maymont Foundation.
