Join our community outreach team to make a difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes. Volunteers are valuable resources. Our outreach team are dedicated individuals who engage in varying activities: community awareness campaign support, tabling at health fairs, assist with special events, creating promotional material, and additional tasks needed to heighten diabetes awareness, and help strengthen our mission and programs. Commitment and Dedication: We ask that you please commit to 2-4 hours whenever you sign up for a community outreach event. Shifts, and times may vary based on event. All potential volunteers must be 13 years or older. Volunteers who have not reached the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Potential volunteers must complete a volunteer application, as well as interview with Community Outreach Director. Potential volunteers may be required to complete a background check prior to volunteering. All volunteers are required to attend a comprehensive orientation on the nature, purpose and mission of Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation, Inc.
