This opportunity calls for a Friendly Visitor to spend some time socializing with a homebound senior citizen in Cambria Heights. One hour a week is all we ask. Client does have a home health aide but would like to socialize. Arts and crafts, chair yoga, sitting outside tor taking a walk are some of the activities that would really benefit this senior client.

Services Now for Adult Persons, Inc. has accepted the challenge of being dedicated to the needs of older adults. SNAP provides direct services to enhance their quality of life. We also provide coordination of case plans, advocacy and linkages to community resources to assist our clients and to prevent premature institutionalization
Description
Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.
1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.
2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
