The Yolo County Probation Department is seeking members for a new Adult Community Board in West Sacramento. The goal of an Adult Community Review Board is to divert low-level offenders from the criminal justice system by making available a wide array of community-based alternatives to these offenders and their families, with the ultimate objective of preventing repeat offenses.
The probation department is recruiting community members dedicated to community reinvestment and prevention work. The time to commitment on this board would be one evening a week, every two to three weeks.
