Many local area seniors living in the City of Fairfax, Burke, and the center of Fairfax county, find themselves feeling isolated, lonely, and would enjoy having a phone call or personal visit from a caring volunteer. Our organization is seeking 2-3 volunteers who can volunteer an hour a week to visit with or just place a phone call to a senior living in their community. Volunteers will be trained and a police clearance background check conducted on anyone entering a home of a senior. This is a rewarding and enjoyable experience for our volunteers as well as the senior being visited. The seniors our volunteers meet often have led interesting lives that would like to share their stories with you. The time and frequency of the visits or calls can be flexible. Would you be interested in getting to know a lonely senior?
