Did you know that Senior Citizens are the fastest growing food-insecure population? You can help seniors in your community by donating as little as 1-2 hours a week to help deliver meals to home-bound seniors in your area.
Volunteers are typically needed Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 10am and 11:30am, but volunteers can also stay all day or for a few hours -- the choice is yours! We will work with you to accommodate your schedule!
Volunteer drivers are reimbursed at a rate of 55 cents per mile for gas.

Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.
At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
