St. Luke’s Elmore volunteers are community members who use their time and talents to assist hospital and nursing home staff with non-clinical activities.
Each volunteer is unique, and we do our best to ensure all are placed in positions that maximize their interests and skills.
Available opportunities include assisting with activities or playing the piano in our Long Term Care Unit, Patient Safety Volunteer Services or Pet Therapy (must be ATD certified).
Junior Volunteer Summer Program: Junior Volunteers must be 14 years of age and complete an orientation process with the Volunteer Coordinator. Junior Volunteer Orientation is in May. Junior Volunteers may continue to volunteer after the summer program has ended.

Description
For more than 100 years, the original goals for St. Luke’s have never changed. Our heritage and values continue to direct the medical center’s development. St. Luke’s dedication to quality is the foundation on which health care plans today are laid for the future.
St. Luke’s has responded to community requests for accessible, affordable health care. St. Luke’s Health System has been formed. St. Luke’s Health Systems never stops preparing for the future. Long-range planning by our community Board of Directors enables us to provide the critical health care services required to maintain strong and vibrant communities in Idaho.
No patient is denied care at St. Luke’s. An essential part of our non-profit mission is an open door policy, meaning we care for all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Hundreds of people without adequate insurance coverage receive free care each year at St. Luke’s. Additionally, St. Luke’s endeavors to provide cost-effective, convenient access to health care for the underinsured, Medicaid and Medicare populations.
