As volunteer you will support families through the Colorado Talks Back program. This program will improve language engagement between caregivers and children aged 9 months to 3 years using LENA technology. Bright by Three will have one group who will be a comparison and receive limited LENA intervention. The second group will receive a more intense version of the Bright by Three program. Starting at 9 months, you will visit with a family every 3 months to offer a LENA recording session and then share the results from the previous recording session, with that information you will help parents create and accomplish personal goals while engaging with their children.
Required Skills: Strong verbal skills, interest in working with different cultures, and Spanish-language skills a plus.
Time commitment: At least six months.

Description
Bright by Three serves more than 20,000 children and families each year across Colorado through a 3-year, phased program designed to empower parents, engage children, and develop social, emotional and cognitive skills needed for school readiness and lifelong learning. Bright by Three’s research-based program is delivered in collaboration with 700 partner agencies across the state. The program is offered through individualized, interactive communication in homes, in groups, and via digital technologies.
