Family ACCESS of Newton (formerly the Newton Community Service Center) serves children from 3 months to pre-K and their families.We are seeking an Event Coordinator Assistant to help with the logistics and marketing of small-scale events, including parenting workshops and children's events.
Duties include reserving rooms, arranging av equipment, food, and other needs, for 6-8 events a year each averaging 10-30 attendees. Support development of attention-grabbing announcements and event descriptions for optimum attendance. Assist with publicity including invitations and/or fliers.Post events on Family ACCESS social media outlets and appropriate 3rd party online services.
Capabilities: Creative. Strong written communications skills. Detail oriented. Experience with Microsoft Word. Experience with online marketing a plus.
