About

NeighborLink Indianapolis is a small nonprofit in Indianapolis that helps very low income seniors and homeowners with disabilities remain safely in their own homes. We do this by providing free home repairs when seniors don't have the resources of their own. We need volunteers interested in helping seniors. Currently we need small to medium size volunteer groups who can help paint the exterior of a senior's home, or do yard work, or help clean out cluttered homes. This can be a one time 3 hour exercise, or a multiday committment. That depends on the group's interest.

We assist seniors whose home has been cited by the Marion County Public Health Department for problems or who call us directly. NeighborLink provides the paint, supplies, and tools, plus supervision, coordination, and refreshments. The volunteer experience is often a close personal one with the homeowner in need. We need groups willing to commit to a work shift of at least 3 hours. Scheduling is flexible to meet your needs. Contact Jeanette at j11jefferis@gmail.com, or call 317 286-2740 to discuss volunteering opportunities. We can schedule and shape a volunteer event to meet your group's needs. Please volunteer!
