Share your love of science and discovery with children at the library through a variety of activities, games and crafts. If you've ever considered becoming a science teacher or tutor and enjoy working with kids, then we'd love to have you join our team. The San Jose Public Library places a special focus on STEAM education in the library, stretching literacy into every field imaginable. Help children head towards the path of success by laying an educational foundation that will carry them through their academic career. Our Science Club will meet once a month to discuss and experiment with different scientific subjects in a fun and engaging way.

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
