Budget Coaches assist individuals who have received an Agape Financial loan in developing budgeting skills. Understanding that charity helps people survive, but does not help them acquire the skills that enable them to escape from poverty. Agape works to provide low-income people with the tools to help themselves climb out of poverty through financial education, mentoring and micro-loan resources

Role plays of intake interviews, documentation and follow up
Monthly mentor support meetings
Time commitment: two hours per month

AGAPE Financial removes barriers for those on their journey to success by providing interest free micro-loans for employment related needs along with related supportive counseling and skill building. Trained volunteers provide concrete help that not only supports employment retention and advancement, but the accompanying structured mentoring teaches the tenets of financial responsibility.
