Change a Child's Life and Help Close the Achievement Gap!

Research has shown that kids need to learn to read by third grade in order to then read to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in school and life. With the majority of our young learners living in economically, socially vulnerable households where a language other than English is primarily spoken, they face many barriers to achieving at grade level. As a literacy tutor, you will work one-on-one or one-on-two with kindergarten through third graders. Through a blend of books, activities, and games, you will cultivate a love of reading in these young learners.

The fall cycle of Liberty Reads starts September 18th and runs from 3:30 - 6:00 pm, Mondays through Thursdays until December 14th.
