Alexandra House has relied on the work of volunteers to provide essential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence since 1977.

Shelter Advocates provide assistance with 24-hour help line and working with shelter residents to meet their needs.

Volunteers must be 18+ years old, females only, complete mandatory 50-hour training that prepares individuals for the challenges of direct-service volunteering, and ideally live within 30 minutes of Mercy and Unity Hospitals.

To sign up for this training, complete the online volunteer application at: http://www.alexandrahouse.org/how-you-can-help/volunteer-opportunities or contact contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator Mollie Ziebart at 763-795-5452 or mziebart@alexandrahouse.org.

A mandatory information meeting will be held on March 10

The training is four (4) weeks in length with meetings usually on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and includes two full Saturdays.

To receive updates on training and volunteer opportunities, please complete the Individual Volunteer Application at www.alexandrahouse.org under the involvement tab.
