This volunteer position is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in the field of volunteer management. The skills you learn here can be transferred to many types of jobs and will look great on a resume! As an Assistant Hospice Volunteer Coordinator you will be trained to do the following:
- Preparation and assembly of applications and orientation packets
- Monitoring volunteer requirements and time sheets
- Volunteer recruitment and education
- Reach out to schools in the health care fields which have field placement requirements for their students
- Research colleges and maintain a calendar of volunteer fairs
Flexible hours during the work week; 4 hours/week
