Maryland CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope) Campaign promotes programs, products, and policies that increase the financial security of low to moderate-income individuals and families across the state.
Available Volunteer Roles:
Financial Educators- Teach free finance classes on topics such as budgeting, credit, savings, taxes, and debt management. Educators teach free, fact-based, objective classes. We are also offering classes to youth with disabilities and their families across the state throughPROMISE. Spanish speakers a plus.
Financial Coaches - Using the MyBudgetCoach(tm) online tool, where you would either meet in person or online once a month for a total of 12 months, you will help families and individuals with low to moderate income improve their ability to budget, make well-informed financial decisions, and reach their financial goals. Also, with the new Maryland TECH Connection , we are providing financial coaching to long-term unemployed people. We are also offering coaching to youth with disabilities and their families across the state through PROMISE .Volunteer opportunities are offered at a variety of locations, statewide.
