AID’s Crisis LineSunshine Caller volunteers are trained volunteers who offer phone support to people in need. Regular, scheduled phone calls made to our clients provide people with:
Social Interaction
Medication Reminders
Crisis Counseling
Referral to Community Resources
Sunshine caller applications are accepted all year, and training takes place while on your volunteer shift. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one, 4 hours volunteer shift a week. Volunteer shifts are available 7 days a week, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Description
For over 50 years, the Association for Individual Development (AID) has provided services to individuals who have developmental, physical, and/or mental disabilities, those who have suffered trauma or those at risk.
All clients have access to vital, life enriching services including: early intervention; developmental therapy; autism programs; audiology; respite care; permanent affordable housing; developmental and vocational training; job placement and on-the-job coaching services; crisis intervention; community education and advocacy.
