Hospice patients are in need of volunteers to visit in their homes so that family members can get out of the house to do grocery shopping, run errands, visit friends, etc. Taking care to ensure our family members do not suffer burn out Avalon Hospice is looking for people to sit with patients. Volunteers do not do chores, do not prepare meals, and do not have to clean up the patients. Volunteers are only there for comfort and friendship. Due to government regulations all volunteers must do a drug screen and a two step TB test regimen that is paid for by our company.
