Homework Helper

Make a positive impact in your community by overseeing a fast paced and engaging opportunity! The Homework Center is in operation during the school year (August - June), and is open to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, Monday through Thursday. 3:00-5:15 PM.

Volunteer Homework Center Coordinators will gain experience with:

  • Classroom Management
  • Communications with students & parents
  • Volunteer Management
  • Helping students with schoolwork on a variety of topics in K-6th grade.
We are currently recruiting a coordinator for Mondays and Wednesdays.

All volunteers will undergo a full background check, including Live Scan, paid for by the City of Corona.

Description

The City of Corona offers volunteer opportunities at many of its departments and facilities. Opportunities can currently be found at the Corona Public Library, Corona Senior Center, Community Center, Youth Sports and Kids Club after school programs. We offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun. For more information on Corona's volunteer programs, please visit
