Do you know what harmful contaminants are in your water? How it gets there? What effect it has on your families and environment? Save the Water(tm) (STW(tm)) is the one looking for answers.
STW(tm) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water; and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. STW also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.
Our volunteers are diverse professionals from all over the world bringing their knowledge and experience to STW because we care deeply about our communities and water resources. Save the Water(tm) is seeking a candidate for Associate Director of Human Resources, Engagement & Development who works with all of our volunteers, across all of our groups and disciplines to develop engagement programs that are relevant and timely. This includes overseeing the Volunteer of the Month program, Exit Surveys, Birthday and Anniversary program,develops and implements comprehensive proactive training,engagement initiatives,supports succession planning through individual career development employee engagement and organizational development activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Human Resources for growing non-profit organization
Assist the Director of Human Resources with management and strategy.
Help Director oversee department of an average of 5-15 volunteers and interns.
Attend Quarterly Operations Meetings.
Manage Project Leaders and Volunteers, including running weekly meetings.
Manage and keep operational documents current.
Assist in developing procedures & documents for the organization.
Complete the PWR audit for the Project Leaders each month.
As an Associate Director for Engagement & Development, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing all the current E & D Program - Volunteer of the Month, LOA, Newsletter, Exit Survey, Motivational Program, Training Programs etc
Ensuring to conduct the Volunteer Satisfaction Surveys once a year.
Overseeing and delegating development of onboarding procedures for the organization
Experience/Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Associate degree (or currently enrolled in degree program) or comparable work experience in HR
Experience in Hiring, Human Resources Management, Organization, Oral and Written Skills, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Laws Against Sexual Harassment is desired.
