The Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo (ECOSLO) seeks Board Members to join in the leadership of our organization. Currently, ECOSLO has nine Board members.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to environmental advocacy for the San Luis Obispo county natural environment. ECOSLO works to advocate for the environment and supports or works with other groups to do the same. We also host regular beach cleanups, city and county trail work days, and docent-led hikes about education for everyone to be stewards of the earth.
We are currently in need of Board members willing to be active and support this 45-year-old community based organization. Board meetings are help once a month. Average time commitment for board service is six to ten hours per month (2 hours for the board meeting, 4-8 hours for events, committee meetings, and follow up tasks).
Those willing to be vocal advocates on behalf of our local environment should definitely apply! Also, those who have a legal background are encouraged to apply.
