Inside Out Reentry Community is seeking volunteers to help expand our work with individuals returning to the community after incarceration. Volunteering with Inside Out is for you if you...
-Want to build relationships and strengthen our community
-Believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity
-Want to advocate for returning citizens and fight the stigmatization they often face
-Are willing to offer support for returning citizens during their transition back to the community
- Think social justice reform is needed in areas such as voting rights, 'ban the box', and more.
Vounteers usually begin their involvement in the office. This allows you to learn about Inside Out and meet some returning citizens who are in the resource center to work on their reentry.
Also, one-on-one mentoring is available. Mentors meet with their match at least once each week and stay in close contact. All mentors receive training and ongoing support.
