The goal of the SAT & ACT Prep instructor is to prepare students to take the SAT and ACT assessments.

The SAT & ACT Prep Instructors must have the following:

• previous experience with preparing student to take the SAT and/or ACT

• excellent communication & presentation skills

• an ability to customize strategies to motivate, prepare, and empower students of all levels to achieve personal success of the SAT & ACT

• knowledge about the SAT & ACT format and question types on the mathematics & critical reading sections

• be able to plan and conduct their preparation sessions according to student and class needs

• be able to effectively bring print and online SAT Readiness Program(tm) resources into the classroom

Instructors will need to be able to help students:

• Understand the SAT
• Be more familiar with the question types and the directions
• Practice for the writing section and understand how the essay will be scored
• Use approaches to answering questions in all sections--critical reading, mathematics, --that will help the students be more comfortable and confident in taking the test
• Review concepts that students have learned in the classroom that are covered on the test
• Help students become more comfortable with taking a high-stakes test
