Family ACCESS of Newton serves children from 3 months to pre-K and their families. We are seeking a Database Assistant to support production of complex inputs and outputs for reporting of fundraising activities.

Duties include: Supporting production of standard and custom reports from our donor database in Donor Perfect (where needed, building custom reports for special projects). Building queries and exports for complex mailing lists such as newsletters, membership or direct mail appeals, and event invitations.

Capabilities: Detail oriented. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with databases; Donor Perfect a plus.

We are conveniently located near the West Newton Cinema and offer a friendly, casual environment with very flexible weekday hours. Thank you for your consideration.

Family ACCESS (formerly The Newton Community Service Center) strengthens families and the community in Newton, Waltham and surrounding areas by providing programs that support healthy child development, enable parents to balance work and family life, promote effective parenting and encourage volunteerism. Description

Since 1907, Family ACCESS has served the diverse needs of children and families from Newton, Waltham, and surrounding communities with educational programs and a network of support services.

Our four distinct, well-integrated program areas include:

  • Early educational and child care
  • Family counseling, education and support
  • Child abuse prevention
  • Volunteer service opportunities for adults 55+
We have developed an ability to foster the type of nurturing parent/child and teacher/student relationships that enhance childhood development. For more than twenty years, we have also conducted educational programs that focus on children's personal safety. Through our SOAR 55 program, we engage and train older adults to provide our community with valuable volunteer services.
