Dallas Zoo Conservation Ambassadors

  • Conservation Ambassadors are dedicated to enhancing the guest experience through personally facilitated experiences.
  • They serve as interpretive guides in stations throughout the Dallas Zoo and are trained to build empathy for wildlife and inspire conservation action.
  • This placement is ideal for people who love to learn, have good verbal communication skills, enjoy interacting with diverse audiences, and are passionate about conservation.
  • Volunteers often walk to and from placements and may stand for extended periods of time interacting with guests. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
  • Volunteers should come prepared for all weather conditions

ConservationAmbassadors: minimum of 24 hours per quarter.

You’ll enjoy being part of the behind-the-scenes work while making a real contribution by spreading our conservation message, helping care for our animal and plant collections, and educating visitors of all ages. Volunteers are valued members of the Zoo and Aquarium team, generously contributing over 40,000 service hours each year!
