We work with transitioning veterans to provide them a point of contact as up to 6 months before they leave active duty. We want you to be that point of contact to work with them ideally in their community but this can also be done long distance. We want to connect them to their community is the following ways:
- -Meeting local business owners and local veteran nonprofits
- -Connecting to key information and resource centers, such as: Libraries, Chamber of Commerce, and Financial Advisors
- Meeting with employers who are looking for veterans and connecting with hiring centers
- If they are married we also work with the spouse to find employment
- If they have children we can help them find good day care centers or school information
As a volunteer you will make phone calls to connect the veteran with different compaines and nonprofits. We already have a guideline we will send you to get started. Not only will the new veteran have a better idea of their local area but you will also be a valuable point of contact for any further questions. If you're interested in helping out please contact us.

About A Warriors Mind
Location:
9174 BUCKINGHAM CT, HUNTLEY, IL 60142, US
Mission Statement
Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars developed A Warriors Mind because we faced many challenges after we left service. Our primary focus is to bring veterans and civilians together in their community. We assist in transitioning from military to civilian life by helping vets in need, connecting with veteran friendly employers, promoting a fit lifestyle, and hosting community building events. One of the hardest parts of anyone’s military service is the transition to civilian life. We are here to support you because no one gets left behind.
Description
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to rebuilding the veteran community through events, showcasing veterans entrepreneurs, helping individual families, promoting a fit lifestyle, and more. We want to connect with other veteran nonprofits that are fighting the good fight so we can work together in the battle against the 22 veteran suicides taking place everyday. As former service members ourselves we know it is a tough road sometimes and you don’t have to go it alone.
