Our Volunteer Team provides support for terminally ill patients and families by giving limited personal assistance to our patients in their homes, whereever they reside. As a member of the patient care team we, as volunteers, provide companionship for patients and respite for family members and other caregivers. Volunteer activities that make a difference for these patients may include running errands, preparing simple meals, sitting and spending time listening and sharing with the patient and/or family. Other activities might include playing music, reading, assisting with legacy documentation.

Time requirements for this work varies and will be specific to the individual volunteer's availability and patient need. We value our volunteers and will work with you to find assignments that fit your schedule. We provide orientation and training in Marin as well as Oakland.

We are also in need of volunteers who are interested in sewing or crocheting lap blankets, etc. and/or helping out with administrative work in the office (Oakland).

Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Monica Jones.
