This opportunity covers many different ways to get involved! Most likely, these opportunities will come up during our major fundraisers: the Powerhouse Award in April, the Walk Off Crime in September, and Powerfully Original Songwriters at the end of the year. Volunteering at these events may include helping set up decorations and tables, taking pictures, manning the registration table, or any other odd jobs.
However, we can use volunteers year-round! If you have any skills such as photography, web design, graphic design, social media, marketing, or anything at all you think may come in handy, please let us know and we would love to work with you. In addition, volunteer opportunities spring up all year long during smaller events such as our community education trainings. Thanks for volunteering with YHTP!

Description
You Have the Power...Know How to Use It, Inc. is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to educate, advocate and empower individuals and communities who are impacted by violent crime. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, YHTP was founded in 1993 by former First Lady of Tennessee, Andrea Conte, to advocate for victims and educate the community to prevent violent crime. YHTP raises awareness about crime and justice issues through victim advocacy, community education programs, resource guides, and documentaries. Based in Nashville, YHTP is funded through private donations and grants.
