Help stop the euthanasia of community cats!

It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

Various areas in the Mid-CitiesBedford, TX 76021

Feral cats outside the spay/neuter clinic, waiting for the facility to open. We have to get in line early because only 12 ferals are accepted per day, and as the community learns about TNVR, the slots fill up more and more quickly.

We need help in each category below. Some of these opportunities require only a few minutes per month and can be done from home - others require a vehicle and travel around the mid-cities early in the morning up to late at night. You will be trained in areas concerning trapping, transporting, and caring for cats if you are not already experienced in TNR. In order to transport you will need a vehicle protected with shower curtain and a hatch or cargo area big enough to hold several traps that can be as large as 14x14x38. In order to recuperate, you will need an indoor or outdoor area that is protected from weather extremes - a bathroom, a garage, a heated shed, an enclosure lined with straw, etx. Remember male cats are pungent so keep that in mind when deciding if you have the facilities to recuperate. We also have outreach opportunities, to present our organization to the public and to city managers. The outreach events take place weekdays, weeknights, and weekends, so no matter your work schedule, you can probably find one to participate in. We also have the normal administrative functions that all non-profits have - newsletters, websites, monitoring phones and emails, all of which can be done from home.
