The Alzheimer's Association hosts an annual Art and Wine Auction called, Memories in the Making Art and Wine Benefit Auction at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. The 2019 event will be in held on Friday, March 8.
A big part of the Memories in the Making Art and Benefit Wine auction will be the auctions, both live and silent auction. Guests will have the opportunity to browse table after table of enticing items as well as art created by individuals affected by Alzheimer's Disease. The auction committee will work with the chair and the staff partner of the Alzheimer’s Association to secure auction items for the event. The auction committee is responsible collaboratively in securing auction items, sponsorship, toward the fundraising goal of $240,000 as well as identifying guests/bidders to attend.
The ideal candidate on this committee will be friendly and outgoing and demonstrate a willingness to solicit businesses and individuals for auction items for the event. They will have a pleasant and professional phone demeanor and will be comfortable communicating specifics about the event. They will display enthusiasm for the event as well as the Alzheimer’s Association.
1. Attend seven committee meetings held in our San Jose office or via google hangouts.
2. Identify individuals and corporations willing to donate silent and live auction items (e.g. experiences, services, packages, merchandise)
3. Solicit individuals and businesses to donate items to the silent and live auctions
4. Submit appropriate donation forms for solicited items
5. Will arrange pick-up/delivery of auction items to the Alzheimer’s Association in San Jose by no later than February 2, 2019
6. Communicate updates with the co-chairs and the staff partner
7. Spread the word about the Memories in the Making Art and Wine Benefit Auction
8. Assist with auction set up on event day
9. Assist with selling tables/individual tickets
