ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Texas

The Avenue J MINT Arts & Crafts Program Leader will be responsible for running an arts & crafts class for the clients in the MINT program--a program that provides care and support for pregnant women who are incarcerated--at Avenue J, a residential re-entry center for people exiting the Federal Bureau of Prisons. This includes providing the materials and supplies for crafts and for planning activities that are suitable for the women to do with their children.

This is an opportunity to have a positive impact on our clients and engage with them in a fun and relaxed environment. Volunteering in this capacity will help provide the women with activities that will encourage bonding with their children.
