Are you passionate about engaging youth and communities in the creation of public art? Do you have the time and skills to dedicate to helping a nonprofit achieve its mission? If so, we hope you’ll apply to join the Urban ArtWorks Board of Directors.

We are currently looking for new members of our hard-working, snacks-loving board. Our ideal candidates are positive, detail-oriented, innovative, and passionate to make a difference through volunteerism. Experience working in the arts, social justice, nonprofits, education, or youth programming a plus but not required. If you think you’d make a good candidate, we would love to hear from you. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and communities to apply.

Responsibilities include:
* Advise, govern, oversee the direction, promote growth, ensure financial health, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of Urban ArtWorks
* Meet via Zoom (4th Wednesday of every month, 6:00-8:30PM); and as needed for special meetings
* Actively participate in Urban ArtWorks committees, communications, fundraising efforts, and events
* Commit to our 2-year board term

All candidates must be available to meet via Zoom on the fourth Wednesday of every month (6:00-8:30PM) to be considered for this position. We will resume our in-person meetings at the Urban ArtWorks studio in the International District once public health officials remove social distancing requirements.
