Hygieia Hospice is seeking volunteers for office and patient care opportunities. We are affiliated with Hygieia Home Health, a company that has served our community for over 20 years. Our dedicated team needs volunteers for friendly patient home visits. We are also developing a Pet Therapy program, and have office assistant opportunities available as well. Consider joining our great team. Hours are flexible. Thank you for your interest. We look forward to meeting you, and helping you make a difference in the lives of our terminally ill patients and their families.

Mission Statement
Hygieia Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. The program is reflective of a spirit and an idea of caring that emphasizes comfort and dignity for the dying, making it possible for them to remain independent for as long as possible, in familiar surroundings. Hospice care is centered on both the patient and family/caregiver. Hospice personnel respect and respond to the unique differences in family/caregiver, lifestyle, values, and wishes. Using an interdisciplinary team approach using physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, therapists, spiritual counselors, dieticians, and volunteers, Hygieia Hospice provides palliative care in the home, short-term inpatient services, mobilization and coordination of ancillary services, and bereavement support. Hospice affirms life.
Description
Hygieia Hospice is affiliated with Hygieia Home Health, which has been serving our community for over 20 years. We are an ethical company with strong roots. We are actively seeking to expand our Volunteer program in order to better serve the unique needs of our patients and families. Our Volunteers work closely with our nurses and social workers to provide companionship and socialization to our terminally ill patients and their families. We are developing a Pet Therapy program, and also have office opportunities available. Our dedicated and caring team needs Volunteers to better serve our community.
