The Relief Boutique is currently seeking volunteers to assist clients in selecting professional clothing to prepare for job interviews. Come take part in this fun and rewarding activity!
Key Responsibilities:
Volunteer stylists will:
Work directly with clients to find business suits, dresses, jackets, and other items that are appropriate for interviews, select clothing and help clients try on and choose outfits;
Assist clients in completing intake paperwork;
Manage clothing inventory and management;
Data management as need.

Mission Statement
The Relief Boutique, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that was formed to help economically disadvantaged women in the New York City area succeed in their employment and other professional endeavors by providing them with access to free professional clothing and accessories appropriate for the workforce. By providing women with personal service and professional attire, The Relief Boutique aims to assist them in building confidence, a positive attitude and high self-esteem - traits essential to successful employment and professional advancement.
Description
We have partnered with organizations such as the Harlem Children’s Zone, the Coalition for the Homeless First Step Program, the South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation, Greenhope Services for Women and Odyssey House to complement the career development services of such organizations.
Our clients receive one-on-one assistance from volunteers who act as personal shoppers and offer advice on finding appropriate clothing for a specific industry and the right fit. The Relief Boutique gives: three professional outfits a bra a pair of shoes jewelry and a handbag free to disadvantaged women interviewing for work or starting new jobs. We provide new and gently used clothing that has been donated to the organization.
