Make a real difference in someone's life!

Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.

Right now we are looking for individuals and groups to make items with patients.

Can you craft, knit, sew? We are looking for volunteers to donate their time to make generic birthday cards that can be given to our Hospice patients on their birthdays. Our patients could also use any of the following: lap blankets, neck pillows, wheelchair or walker caddies, catheter bags, and hand pillows.

We also have many opportunities that involve crafting and scrapbooking with our hospice patients. The two options for potential volunteers interested in crafting are our companion volunteer program or our life stories volunteer program. Our companion volunteers offer friendly visits and socialization to our Hospice patients, and our life stories volunteers help record our patient’s memories.
