The end-of-life process for a veteran is different from that of a civilian's. Veterans have made many sacrifices and risks in their service to our country and many still wear scars of war. We educate our staff on veteran-specific end-of-life care in order to make their transition peaceful and painless. With that comes providing these special patients with others to connect with who went through similar experiences.

Veteran Volunteers have a unique ability to connect with Veteran patients and their families. We are looking for veterans to offer companionship, reminiscence, and to share their camaraderie with our military patients. Beacon Hospice asks for a commitment of one hour per week. We will provide you with training. Please Help serve our veterans in this time of compassionate need.

We are looking for veteran volunteers in the Boston and surrounding areas.

Thank you,
Jacqueline Curley

Volunteer Coordinator
