St. Anthony's needs volunteers to serve meals in our Dining Room!
The Dining Room has served poor and homeless Tenderloin residents since 1950; through six decades of growing demand we have never turned a Dining Room guest away for lack of food. We rely on volunteers to serve over 2,000 meals a day, 365 days a year.
Volunteer experience includes serving trays, preparing meals, clearing tables, and helping with other tasks as needed. Volunteers provide our guests with a nutritious meal and a much needed sense of belonging.
Signing up to volunteer is easy. If you are over 15 years of age, just sign-up on our Volunteer Shifts Calendar https://www.stanthonysf.org/shifts/ or just email us at email@example.com.
Volunteers aged 13-14 must be accompanied by an adult guardian and register through our volunteer coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Days: Monday - Sunday
Time: 9:15 am - 1:45 pm

About St. Anthony Foundation
121 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94102, US
St. Anthony's is an organization providing essential support to San Franciscans living in poverty. Our mission is to feed, heal, shelter, clothe, lift the spirits of those in need, and create a society in which all persons flourish. Every day, with dignity and respect, we offer thousands of the most vulnerable among us the basics we all need to feel human: a hot meal, fresh clothing, an opportunity to connect with the world around us.
St. Anthony Foundation:
- Over 68 years in San Francisco
- 39 million meals served
- Never-ending hope
St. Anthony’s is a civic anchor in San Francisco, providing stability to low-income residents of the city and inspiring hope through 2,400 hot meals a day, fresh clothing, medical care, technology access, job training, addiction recovery, and poverty education.
St. Anthony’s is a safe, welcoming place for individuals, community groups, and corporate teams to volunteer in a way that has a profound impact and is deeply rewarding for participants. Whether serving meals in our dining room, helping guests find fresh clothing, or teaching basic computer skills classes - volunteers are an integral part of the services we provide for those in need. Nearly 17,000 volunteers come through our doors each year.
We wouldn’t be here today without generations of San Franciscans who have given us a vision for a better world. Join us and together make a positive change.
