This is a volunteer position that will require you to be available 20 hours per week to coach students through a series of projects on behalf of the Rebecca Everlene Trust Company. The projects entail online research, data entry, creating social media blurbs, creating art work for upcoming events, participating in fundraising events, and prepping science materials for projects for younger children.

While working on these projects, students will gain valuable work skills with scheduling, time maintenance, computers, email and social media programs, working independently, and becoming self-starters. They will also receive a heightened awareness of many different job professions while conducting research for these projects.

As a volunteer, you would set up a schedule with the students, so that they are able to complete their required 20 hours per school requirement. At this point, meeting locations for the students entail Chicago Public Libraries in a variety of areas. The program is geared towards mitigating travel to complete the projects by delegating a meeting place for work that is close to the student’s home.

Library hours are normally 10am-6pm Monday through Thursday, and from 9-5 on Friday and Saturday.

You would also be responsible for collecting each student’s work at the end of your session and transmitting it to the Ambassador of Education at the end of the day. Conference rooms will be reserved on your behalf, so that your group has separate quarters from the general public.

Thank you in advance for responding to our Volunteer Match Ad and we look forward to hearing from you. All questions can be directed to or you can call 312-256-6647.
