Dive Program

Dive volunteers help to maintain exhibits and assist animal care staff. Divers must be Open Water dive certified, will need to have a doctor’s clearance, and pass a check-out dive as well as other necessary certifications. Divers get credit for bottom time and overall volunteer time.

Description

The Aquarium is designed to be an interpretive center focusing on the plants and animals native to the Gulf of Mexico. The visitor is taken on an undersea journey that begins at the shore and continues deeper into the waters of the Gulf.
