Not a runner? Not a problem! Regardless of your running ability, as a coach you will serve as a role model and empower girls to activate their limitless potential.
Teams of trained volunteer coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula, which include dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the 10-week program, girls develop skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness.
The volunteer commitment is for a ten week season during one semester, beginning in either September or February and finishing with the 5k celebrations in either November or May. Coaching a team during a season requires a time commitment of 1.5-2 hours, twice a week after school. These days differ from team to team, with each site establishing its meeting days. Most teams meet immediately after school either on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays each week for ten weeks.
The program may end in ten weeks, but for our coaches and girls, the finish line is just the beginning.

- Running not required. Must be passionate about the program!
