Coaches Needed
Life comes at girls fast. Help them find their pace.

Make a difference in the lives of girls in our community.

Inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident. Encourage them to achieve big things. Complete a 5k with your team and make a difference in the community!

You can make a positive impact in the lives of girls in our community as a community coach. Coaches commit to their roles for 10 weeks, leading a group of 15-20 girls for 90-minute practices twice a week after school with the help of a coaching partner.

Girls on the Run coaches are truly a reflection of the girls we serve here in our community. By being themselves, they prove that one person can really make a difference. And they have a lot of fun too! Not a runner? Not a problem! Regardless of your running ability, as a coach you will serve as a role model and empower girls to activate their limitless potential.

There are hundreds of girls in the Acadiana, Greater Baton Rouge, and Northshore areas waiting to participate in Girls on the Run. They need you! We need you!

Ready to make a difference and encourage girls to realize their full potential? Coach applications are currently open for the spring 2020 season that begins in January. To apply, please visit

Mission Statement

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

At Girls on the Run we inspire girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula that includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. Over the course of the ten-week program, girls in 3rd-8th grade develop essential skills to help them navigate their worlds and establish a lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k event

We believe that every girl is inherently full of power and potential. By knowing they are the leaders of their lives, these are the girls who will change the world.
