Children's Community School is offering internships in special event coordination and communications for the fall and spring semesters. Main Fall events include a possible wine/cheese tasting and a poinsettia sale. Main Spring events include a large gala dinner and online fundraising campaign. This is an opportunity to work with a veteran in the field and to create/incorporate new media and approaches. Most work will be done in the school office.

Mission Statement
The Children's Community School exists first and foremost to offer educational services to children from environmentally, socially and/or economically disadvantaged homes who are in need of extra support to be able to attend to the tasks involved in learning. Children's Community School provides an environment of support and supportive services for those children and their families.
Description
Children's Community School is a private, non-profit elementary school which was established to provide education for "at risk" children with unique educational needs. Presently 95 students representing approximateley 80 families are enrolled in the kindergarten through grade five program.
The learning program at CCS is designed to offer individualized and personalized education for "at risk" children who manifest the educational needs common in families who are attempting to overcome the effects of poverty in their lives.
