Administrative Volunteer at Childrens' Art Museum

The i.d.e.a. Museum is a children's art museum in downtown Mesa. Our education deparmtent is seeking a volunteer administrative assistant to help with a variety of tasks. This admin volunteer may also assist other departments with administrative tasks from time to time, but would mostly work with the education department.

The responsibilities include:

• Maintaining volunteer files
• Assisting with the creation of monthly reports
• Creating orientation packets for new volunteers
• Updating field trip information
• Some internet research
• Scanning and filing documents
• Other duties may be assigned depending on volunteer interests and experience

Ideal candidate:

• Has experience with all Microsoft programs, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
• Has administrative experience
• Is detail-oriented

Training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is willing to make at least a 6 month commitment because of the time spent on training.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to give back to their community through behind-the-scenes work. We have a small team of friendly, creative team members and just need a little extra help keeping up with everything because we are a small team and we all wear many hats.

The schedule is flexible. We are looking for someone to volunteer 3-4 hours per week to start, perhaps more later as we develop new projects. Those hours could be completed on one day per week or could be split into a couple of 2 hour shifts. Ideal days are Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays.
