Volunteer opportunity - ACS Making Strides Against Breast Cancer/ Central Park

Volunteers Needed!

Are you looking to get more involved with your local community?

Do you enjoy working with and meeting new people?

Are you passionate about helping others and finishing the fight against cancer?

If this sounds like you, the American Cancer Society needs you!

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Central Park is one of the largest breast cancer awareness events in the nation. The money raised through the event helps save many lives by funding groundbreaking breast cancer research, providing free comprehensive information and support, and helping people take steps to reduce their risk of the disease or find it early when it’s most treatable.

As the largest voluntary health organization in the country, we count on volunteers and volunteer driven organizations, agencies and companies to help make this event run smoothly and efficiently. The walk is on October 14th, 2018 located in Central Park and we need your help! Our volunteers help with important event details such as check in, water stations, information, and more. You’re there to help make the event truly special and to join, encourage, and support those in the fight against breast cancer!

With just a few hours, you can help make a difference in countless lives and create a world with more birthdays!

If interested, please contact our Event Manager Denise Solorzano, at Denise.Solorzano@cancer.org or by phone at 212-237-3813.
