We all come into this world with different talents and skills, and every person deserves to be as independent as possible. People Reaching for Independence and the Development of Excellence (PRIDE) is a program designed for adults who are legally blind and have an intellectual developmental disability. Through PRIDE, we develop individualized programs of specialized services based on a person’s goals and abilities. We want to make everyone as independent as possible while encouraging self-confidence and enriching self-esteem.
A large group from Envision PRIDE is going to the Kansas State Fair. We will need as many Volunteers as we can get on that day to go with the group.

For most Americans, holding a job is a sign of independence. Unfortunately, more than 70 percent of individuals who are blind or low vision are unemployed or underemployed. Almost 50 percent of the 400 Envision employees are blind or low vision, making Envision the nation’s second largest employer of individuals who are blind or low vision.
Envision Vision Rehabilitation Center
Envision provides vision rehabilitation, regardless of ability to pay. Envision Vision Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive, state-of-the-art services in one convenient location. Licensed and certified specialists work directly with individuals and their families, building independence and inspiring hope.
