Come help us make sure all seniors have the chance to have a warm nutritious meal! EMMCA’s Nutrition Sites operate Monday-Thursday from 11:00-1:00 and Fridays from 8:30-10:00 on the east side of Madison and Monona. Utilize your excellent customer service skills to provide high quality service to seniors attending the meal sites. Our specific need is for volunteer assistance on Tuesdays from 10:30-1:30 p.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church on Cottage Grove Road.

Volunteers help make lunch more enjoyable and timely for the seniors we serve. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping with any of the following duties:

• dish up catered meal
• serve meals to the participants (does NOT include feeding participants)
• serve beverages (milk, water, coffee)
• make coffee
• socialize with seniors as they eat their meals
• help clean-up after the meal

In order to ensure the safety of our participants and maintain high quality service, volunteers must complete an application, successfully pass a background/reference check, and participate in an interview/orientation process prior to starting as a volunteer. Training will be provided by the Nutrition Site Manager.
