The First Tee of Greater Houston is a nonprofit organization that uses the game of golf as a platform to instill core values and life skills in youth participants, resulting in positive youth development! We service to the Greater Houston area with nine program sites locationed in Conroe, Humble, Hockley, three locations in Houston, Missouri City, and Dickinson.
Program Volunteers have the unique experience of working directly with our youth participants, other volunteers, and our programming staff. Program Volunteers' responsibilities can range from coaching and mentoring to providing admin support to special events and fundraising.
All potential new volunteers are required to attend a 1-hour training prior to starting their service with us. This training will require the attendee to provide standard personal information and successfully complete a background check.

Description
The First Tee is an international youth development program that teaches young people ages 7-18 the game of golf and the intrinsic values that will help them become successful in life and have a love for golf. We promote The First Tee Nine Core Values: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, confidence, courtesy, perseverance, and judgment; and the Nine Healthy Habits: energy, play, safety, vision, mind, family, friends, school, and community.
The First Tee develops character, life skills and healthy habits while providing a fun, activity-based program for young people as they learn about the game of golf.
