The Bartram's Garden Community Boathouse is located on the banks of the Schuylkill River at Bartram's Garden in Southwest Philadelphia. We offer free kayaking, row boating and fishing opportunities to the general public on Saturdays April through October. We have a large team of dedicated volunteers who run these public programs. We are recruiting new volunteers for our 2019 season. In exchange for their time Boathouse Volunteers have access to our fleet of kayaks, rowboats and fishing equipment for their own personal use. Volunteers are expected to contribute a minimum of 20 hours of their time per season (April through October). Occasional Saturday availability is a must. It is not a requirement that you have any experience paddling or rowing to sign up. Training will be provided in April. Requirements

  • Must be available some Saturdays between the hours of 10am and 4pm, April through October
