Avalon Housing is looking for volunteers at our Summer Program for Youth (SPY)! If you can commit one to four hours a week, you can be part of creating a fun, positive and memorable Summer Experience for our youth!!
Most of our youth have experienced homelessness before they are even finished with Elementary School. As part of our commitment to provide stable housing, build community and improve the overall quality of life for our families, Avalon offers a Summer Program for Youth over 8 weeks in the summer at our Carrot Way and Pauline Community Centers.
The program needs volunteer assistance Monday through Wednesday from 1 to 4 PM. We provide meals, snacks, activities and games and academic enrichment. You could be part of making summer memories that last a lifetime while supporting a program that helps 80+ families who have experienced homelessness.
This Volunteer Position would report to either our Carrot Way (by Food Gatherers) or Pauline (by the Big House) properties and work directly with one of our Youth and Community Organizers. For more information, please call or email Andrea at 734.663.5858 ext. 212
