Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank
Pickup perishable food items from various grocery stores and markets between 8 AM and 8:30 AM M-F, and deliver the food to the PV Emergency Food Bank at 10862 N 32nd St. Volunteers must have your own properly insured large size vehicle and be able to load and unload donations unassisted. Some boxes of food can weigh up to 70 pounds each. This is a position for physically fit individuals.
Generally pick-up takes about 1-1.5 hours to go to the market and meet with your market contact person, load the food into your vehicle, drive to the food bank, and unload the food items into the food bank. Generally the volunteers at the food bank will put the food away for you into the refrigerator, freezer or shelves.
You can sign up to do market pick-up once a week ,or multiple mornings per week. Orientation will be offered. There is no financial reimbursement.

PVEFB stands for Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank. It is a food pantry formed from existing organizations in the Paradise Valley area to aid the community's hungry.
The PVEFB's main objective is to provide emergency assistance to individuals living within the boundaries of the Paradise Valley Unified School District. PVEFB distributes food to individuals and families that would otherwise go hungry. The emergency provisions provide wholesome, nourishing meals to families in need, bridging the gap until a long-term solution can be arranged.
